WHAT IS INVOICE RECOVERY?
When customers won't pay, we get your money back — quickly and professionally.
Late-paying customers can strangle an otherwise healthy business. Wages, suppliers and rent don't wait, so when an invoice sits unpaid for weeks the pressure lands squarely on you. Our unpaid invoice recovery service chases overdue invoices firmly but professionally, recovering what you're owed as quickly as possible while protecting the customer relationship wherever that still makes sense.
Most debts settle long before court once a debtor hears from a solicitor. We start with a robust demand, escalate to a formal letter before action, and pursue County Court proceedings and enforcement only if needed — all as part of our wider commercial debt recovery work. You can also claim statutory interest and compensation under the late commercial payment rules, so chasing the debt needn't cost you a penny of the principal.
How we help
Overdue invoice chasing
We take over the awkward conversations, contacting the debtor on your behalf with clear, professional demands that signal you're serious about being paid.
Statutory interest & compensation
We add the interest and fixed compensation you're legally entitled to on overdue commercial invoices, so late payers — not you — carry the cost of the delay.
Letters before action
A solicitor-headed letter before action sets out the debt, the deadline and the consequences. For many debtors, this is the point they finally pay.
County Court claims
If the deadline passes, we issue County Court proceedings to obtain judgment, handling the paperwork, fees and process from start to finish.
Enforcement of judgments
Winning judgment is only half the job. We enforce it through bailiffs, attachment of earnings, charging orders or other routes to turn a paper win into real money.
Payment plans & settlements
Where a debtor genuinely can't pay in one go, we negotiate realistic instalment plans or settlements that get money flowing back to you without further delay.
You may have a claim if…
Your business is owed money on unpaid invoices
The invoices are due and largely undisputed
Your own reminders haven't worked
The debtor is based in England or Wales

Invoice recovery FAQs
How quickly can you recover an unpaid invoice?+
Many invoices are paid within days or weeks of a debtor receiving a solicitor's letter before action. Straightforward, undisputed debts often settle without ever reaching court. If proceedings and enforcement are needed, recovery takes longer, and we'll give you a realistic timescale at the outset.
Can I claim interest and late-payment compensation?+
Yes. On most overdue commercial invoices you can claim statutory interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, plus fixed compensation of £40, £70 or £100 per invoice depending on its size. We add these to every claim so the debtor bears the cost of paying late.
Will chasing the debt damage my customer relationship?+
Not necessarily. We take a measured, professional approach designed to recover your money while keeping the door open for future trade where you want to. Often a firm but courteous solicitor's letter simply prompts payment and the working relationship continues.
What if the debtor won't pay after court?+
Once we have a County Court judgment, we can enforce it in several ways — instructing High Court Enforcement Officers or bailiffs, applying for an attachment of earnings, securing a charging order against property, or freezing funds with a third-party debt order. We advise on the option most likely to get you paid.
What does it cost?+
We offer transparent options including fixed fees for letters and claims, and commission-based recovery on certain debts so cost is tied to success. Because you can usually recover statutory interest and compensation from the debtor, pursuing the debt often costs you little or nothing. We'll confirm pricing before any work begins.
What if the debt is disputed?+
If the debtor raises a genuine dispute, we assess the merits and advise on the strongest route forward — that may mean negotiation, mediation or another form of alternative dispute resolution before any court claim. Where the dispute is weak or tactical, we press on firmly with recovery.
